The SAIC Space Business Unit (SBU) has an exciting opportunity for a new Senior Director of Space C2 Grounds Systems campaign that includes related opportunities in the IC, DOD and Civilian markets. The position coordinates strategy, marketing and technical investment planning across SAIC Business Units. The individual in this position drives growth, strengthens SAIC’s connections to customers and industry competitors, positions SAIC strategically in the marketplace, and guides technical investment. This position is a direct report to the BD VP of the Space Business Unit.       

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As summarized above, the ideal candidate will focus on developing and implementing strategies to further position SAIC in the CS Ground Systems market coordinating other BU level campaign leads, and those BU respective BD VPs to ensure coherence and synergy with overall growth strategy.

The Senior Director collaborates with the Business Units and SAIC Strategic Planning organization on market assessment activities by integrating information gleaned from customers, industry experts, competitors, and other business leaders. The Senior Director applies market analysis and related information to support development of company strategic BD plans and inform decision-making for investment priorities.  In addition, supports Operation marketing efforts by developing collateral, white papers and by working with Solution Architects to properly develop and market technical capabilities.  The ideal candidate will have great technical knowledge in strategic and tactical C2 systems across the IC, DOD, USSF and CIVIL markets .

Customer Engagement and Market Positioning

This identified candidate has a high tempo of engagement with senior customers in support of both long term and close-in business positioning as well as supporting BU discreet customer engagements. The goal of engagement will be to develop situational awareness of the marketplace, develop relationships with key customers and competitors, and drive shaping of opportunities for significant market growth. These successful engagements will foster bookings growth and enable program and BD teams to shape opportunities across the company.

Qualifications

  • At least 15 years of experience working with Space C2 Ground systems.
  • 12+ years of experience in industry business development-related activities. The experience must include strategy, pipeline development, front-end customer engagement, and capture management.
  • Track record for leading a team to develop a corporate level product, development and sustainment new business.
  • Experience coordinating with corporate communications to develop and coordinate overall marketing campaign.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in a technical or business aligned field.
  • Superior communication skills – oral and written.
  • Knowledge of competitor company strategy, offerings and positioning in the C2 arena.
  • Immediate eligibility for Secret clearance; current TS/SCI preferred.



Target salary range: $200,001 - $225,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
