SAIC is seeking a Senior Principal of Master Data Management and Knowledge Engineering Controls for a 100% REMOTE role.
The Chief Data Office within the Infrastructure Enablement Organization is seeking a Senior Principal of Master Data Management (MDM) and Knowledge Engineering (KE) Controls to join our team to drive adoption of best-in-class data and information through multiple channels across Business and Operational teams. This position focused on the development and execution our overall Master Data and Knowledge Engineering strategy, including assisting with the design and implementation of tools, controls, operational processes, and procedures to ensure the consistency and quality of company data. This job is Full Time and Can be worked Remote anywhere in the U.S..
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leads the SAIC360 Master Data Management program (MDM) at the direction of the Chief Data (CDO) and Data Governance (DGO) Offices.
Serve as the principal architect and thought leader for developing the MDM solution, including data models and ontologies, reference and master data frameworks, operational systems integration processes, technology solutions, organizational change considerations and business operating models as the MDM & KE functions evolve in support of new and existing capabilities.
Develop, produce, and drive efforts to establish objectives and key results for MDM program initiatives, while managing internal and external budget requirements.
Lead and partner with a team of data and technology professionals working towards establishing data management and knowledge engineering best practices to deliver high quality data and information at scale.
Establish policies, processes, standards, controls, and tools in partnership with business and IT system owners to govern and manage Product, Customer, Employee, and other key data assets to provide a single source of truth that keeps downstream operations, reporting, analytics, and systems consistent.
Collaborate with senior business and IT leadership to understand future requirements and direction of the business to chart out strategy in support of MDM & KE initiatives, digital transformation, and business growth.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to align on priorities and to ensure MDM business requirements are clearly-defined, well-documented, communicated and understood by constituents.
10+ years of experience in the areas of master data management, reference data management, data governance, data management, analytics, and technology. Bachelor’s in Business, Technology or related fields, Master’s preferred.
Experience with collaborating with Technology and Business Teams to deliver data and technology solutions that meet business objectives.
Experience with enterprise class applications for data management across organizations.
Strong detail orientation supported by ability to take a structured approach to achieve long-term objectives and build sustainable routines.
Ability to use positive influence on others, regardless of seniority, to achieve results.
Excellent time management skills and able to manage multiple competing/concurrent activities.
Must be able to work well in a collaborative team environment, but also independently.
Experience and comfort with change and ambiguity given the ever-evolving nature of the business.
Intellectual curiosity and the capacity to come up to speed quickly on complex technical topics.
Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more of experience; PhD or JD and ten (10) or more years of experience.
