SAIC is currently looking to hire two Systems Engineers to join our MLRS team located in Huntsville, AL!

Program Info:

The combat-proven Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) is a highly mobile rocket artillery system that fires surface-to-surface rockets for the US Army.

Responsibilities Include:

• Candidate must be able to think wholistically about a system and its requirements

• Candidate will need excellent critical thinking skills and be able to apply them to all aspects of the MLRS system

• Candidate will translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications

• Candidate will be analyzing existing system requirements and will have to assimilate the interaction of these requirements with other functional areas such as Software Safety, Test, and Cyber

• Candidate will utilize DOORS for establishing links between requirements, creating objects in DOORS modules, etc

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; 4 years of experience can be used in lieu of a degree

Clearance: Must have an Interim Secret Clearance to start; prefer active Secret Clearances. US Citizenship required

Required Skills:

• Strong background in analyzing existing system requirements
• Experience supporting Systems Engineering throughout the Life Cycle of full Software development
• Extensive experience with DOORS (establishing links between requirements, creating objects in DOORS modules, gathering requirement data)

Desired Skills:

• Project Life Cycle experience;  Army Acquisition Life Cycle exp is a huge plus
• Experience with data support in IBM DOORS 9.6.x is a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Azure in requirement support would be a plus
• Solid understanding working with System Engineering throughout the Army Acquisition Life Cycle would be considered a very strong plus
