SAIC is seeking a motivated digital engineer for its SAIC Special Access Program Enterprise IT as a Service teams. These teams are responsible for experimenting with multilevel security (MLS) and zero trust (ZT) solutions, developing and maintaining a Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) system, and running an integration lab for solution testing. The digital engineer will coordinate with the team engineers to develop system models to enable technical discussions with all level of the customer audience. Given the wide breadth of technologies, the successful candidate with have a basic, but competent understanding of a wide range of information technology, with a large focus on quickly learning technologies and communicating regularly with engineering teams. Work can be performed remotely anywhere in the United States. Preference will be given to qualified candidates with proximity to Hanscom Air Force Base (Greater Boston MA).

Daily activities may include:

• Actively engaging with team leads and engineers to document/model details of use cases, system functionality, cybersecurity, data flows, and architecture.
• Updating system modeling documentation and team knowledge base.
• Obtaining and incorporating feedback on system models from engineering teams.
• Interfacing with the customer to discuss and improve system models.

Qualifications

• Bachelors and five years of experience OR Masters and three years of experience

• Experience with model-based engineering tools, such as CAMEO, and the application of relevant markup languages such as UML and SysML
• OCSMP Model Builder Intermediate certification
• Basic networking and virtualization knowledge
• Knowledge or willingness to learn advanced networking, virtualization, cloud, and zero trust technologies
• Experience preparing technical documentation
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification or above

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• Familiarity with zero trust architectures
• Familiarity with cloud architectures and solutions such as but not limited to AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with Cloud One and/or Platform One
• Knowledge of DevSecOps tool chains

 

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
