Job Description

Description

Are you interested in joining SAIC to be part of our partnership providing high quality engineering advisory services, system planning, integration, and architecture to our government intelligence agency customer? Then consider joining the members of the Enterprise Systems Engineering and Architecture team as they aid our customer in collaborating, integrating, and standardizing the engineering approach across the customers enterprise.

We have a current requirement for a highly experienced systems engineer at our customer's Annapolis Junction, Maryland complex in support of their Cross Access Geolocation Capabilities Team. The selected individual will provide systems engineering analysis, requirements development and planning, monitoring of development and integration efforts, and verification and validation support to customer’s development and enhancement planning for the IC-community effort to field and enhance a robust, flexible, and efficient ad hoc signals geolocation capability.  The systems engineer will:

  • Provide support to the development of requirements to support new and enhanced signal geolocation capabilities.
  • Effectively coordinate the development and revision of technical standards and capability development plans with internal and intelligence community partners.
  • Work with stakeholders to further enhance interoperability among various signal geolocation systems through establishment of standards for data exchange and system interfaces.
  • Assist in developing transition plans and processes related to services that include data links, networks, government communication systems, interfaces, and processing systems.  This also includes assisting with the standardization of these services so that enterprise tools are developed within the organization and our technologies.
  • Produce system engineering and technical documentation, develop master schedules, and support validation and verification activities.
  • Serve as liaison to critical personnel in monitoring the state of project development milestones.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must have TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline
  • At least 20 years of systems engineering experience.
    • A high school diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
    • A Master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience.
  • This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year.

Desired but not required:

  • Experience with military SIGINT collection systems will be valuable as many early adopters of capabilities have been military end-user systems.
  • A working knowledge of various signals geolocation techniques and systems would lessen the learning curve of newly assigned systems engineers
  • Familiarity with various All Domain Cooperative Operations Joint Interface Control Specifications, Concepts of Operations, and systems implementations as these protocols are the basic framework that is being extended by the supported organization.
