Are you interested in joining SAIC to be part of our partnership providing high quality engineering advisory services, system planning, integration, and architecture to our government intelligence agency customer? Then consider joining the members of the Enterprise Systems Engineering and Architecture team as they aid our customer in collaborating, integrating, and standardizing the engineering approach across the enterprise.

We have a current requirement for a Chief Systems Engineer to support the customer’s Targeting Modernization (TMOD) Program Management Office (PMO) at their Annapolis Junction, Maryland Facility. This position offers schedule flexibility with coverage required during the core hours of 10am-2pm, Monday-Friday, with the occasional late afternoon periodic review. The selected systems engineer will provide direct, full-spectrum engineering and architecture support to a multi-organizational PMO that is coordinating the development a new enterprise TMOD capability. The new capability will fully leverage existing enterprise capabilities, while simultaneously embracing new commercial solutions and implementing new custom features. The position requires extensive systems engineering experience to include system/software development, risk identification and management, requirements engineering, data flow analysis, dependency identification, and interface definition. The selected individual will:

  • Support the TMOD PMO in all areas and all phases of their system development life cycle; including drafting of and/or managing production of: System and Functional Architecture artifacts, CONOPS, Capability Roadmaps, Functional Requirements Documents, Software Requirements Specifications, Analysis of Alternatives, Trade Studies, Technology Gap Analysis, Program Plans, Capability Roadmaps, and Development or Operational Processes and Procedures 
  • Coordinate closely with multiple internal teams and external organizations supporting the program schedule.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline 
    • A Master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience.
    • A high school diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience.
  • Minimum of 20 years of systems engineering experience.
  • Self-directing leader with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment

Desired:

  • Prior experience in SIGINT targeting techniques
  • Experience using Confluence, SharePoint, JIRA, and other tracking tool; MS Office
  • Professional experience in any of the following areas: Configuration Management, Architecture, Data Flow, Test Experience (DT/OTA)
