Join a winning team! SAIC’s National Security and Space (NSS) Sector is currently hiring for a customer within the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly, VA. This customer is responsible for designing, building, and operating national security-related systems based in space, in the air, and on the ground. SAIC is seeking a Space Systems Engineer with NRO experience to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services to a rapidly expanding Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer for a complex system effort as part of an exciting and innovative set of programs.
This position supports a System Program Office (SPO) in a technical capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of program system development and acquisitions that advance the National Reconnaissance Office’s (NRO) space resiliency posture. While seniority is a plus and a knowledge of systems engineering is required, this position can accommodate a junior engineer that is eager to learn and grown in their knowledge and experience of the art of systems engineering.
SAIC is seeking an experienced engineering candidate with technical and practical understanding of space systems and phenomenology. The candidate will need to support advanced technology development and demonstration programs in support of resiliency spanning a diverse set of global threats. The candidate should have specific experience in the design, development, and testing of various space technologies. The candidate should be comfortable working amongst a diverse and energetic team in the pursuit of mission objectives and project success.
