Are you interested in joining SAIC to be part of our partnership providing high quality engineering advisory services, system planning, integration, and architecture to our government intelligence agency customer? Then consider joining the members of the Enterprise Systems Engineering and Architecture team as they aid our customer in collaborating, integrating, and standardizing the engineering approach across the customers enterprise.

We have a current requirement for a mid-Career Systems Engineer to support the customer’s Technology Transition Office at their Columbia Maryland Facility. The systems engineer will aid the customer with the management and oversight of technology transition into and out of the Enterprise to include the transition and decommissioning of legacy technologies. The selected individuals will:

  • Provide support for the assessment, insertion and removal of technology by coordinating all activities pertaining to transition and decommissioning of legacy technologies. 
  • Support transition activities by managing and supporting Technology Transition Office processes to include providing characterizations of assigned projects, leading, planning, scheduling, engagement, and validation of process steps and production of related artifacts.
  • Identifying risks and recommending mitigations and/or the support of the customer in performing these activities and measure progress through these processes.

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline plus at least 6 years of systems engineering experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
    • A Master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience.
  • Experience applying systems engineering principles throughout a systems life-cycle.
  • Ability to Interact with the government regarding Systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
  • Experience is communicating with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
  • Experience being responsible for integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with SE process areas.
  • Ability to support technical meetings to include understanding of creating meeting schedules, developing agendas, recording meeting minutes, to include knowledge of MS Office tools.
  • This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year.

Individual Capabilities desired:

  • Five or more years’ experience supporting programs and projects within this customer space.
  • Experience with Confluence/JIRA and ServiceNow (SNOW).
