JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAIC has an immediate opening for an ITIL Managing Professional.  The successful candidate will leverage their knowledge of the ITIL process domains associated with Event Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Request Fulfillment, and Operations Management to shepherd the Service Operations maturity efforts of a Multi-Service Integrator (MSI) and associated IT Service Providers.  The successful applicant will participate within a team of Systems Engineers and Technical Advisors (SETAs) to oversee product quality, identify service deficiencies, and mature delivery processes.  While current operational emphasis is on ITIL v3, the successful candidate will help chart the customer’s organizational conversion to an ITIL 4 structure.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

On the Job Training will be provided in the customer’s specific knowledge domain, but the successful candidate must be able to:

• Demonstrate a strong working understanding of the ITIL Framework
• Demonstrate a working understanding of best practices in service management, including contract and vendor management in an outsourcing or shared service environment
• Work multiple concurrent efforts with shifting priorities
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communications skills to facilitate clear and concise delivery statuses on multiple, concurrent activities
• Demonstrate the ability to manage projects using project management methodologies, interpret complex information and provide informed analyses
• Demonstrate skill in evaluating organizational needs and recommending suitable technical solutions
• Demonstrate the ability to manage teams, improve processes, and optimize workflow
• Demonstrate the ability to prepare program plans, to include budget and schedule development
• Demonstrate the ability to perform program analysis, schedule reviews, and cost estimations 
• Demonstrate the ability to conduct risk assessments of proposed service provider deliveries

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors in a STEM field of study and nine (9) years or more work experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more work experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more work experience;  Work experience of more than nine (11) years is sufficient without a degree
• PMP certification is a plus, but not required
• ITIL Expert or Managing Professional certification is a plus, but not required

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

• Must possess and maintain a Top Secret clearance
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) with Poly
