Description
SAIC is seeking a Junior Software Test Engineer to support the NAVAIR Aviation Logistics Environment LOG-IT project. The project iis focused on providing state of the art systems and support the fleet effectively and efficiently. This position will support multiple facets in software engineering with working knowledge in project management. The candidate shall research, analyze, modify, improve, and develop new and existing LOG-IT systems and applications.
The test engineer executes test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements.
Work will be performed on site in Patuxent River, MD.
This opportunity is contingent upon contract award, anticipated in Summer 2022.
Responsibilities
- Performs verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment.
- Documents and communicates test results. Supports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues. Documents and works to resolve all complex problems. Reports progress on problem resolution to management.
- Position to grow into authoring automated tests.
Qualifications
Key Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- 2 years of professional experience in software development preferred
- Familiarity/Experience with automated testing including the use of test automation tools such as Selenium and Zephyr.
- Familiarity with Test Driven Development.
Requirements
- Top Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and 1+ year experience.
