Description
SAIC is looking for a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Simulation Engineer to support the design, development, and operations of simulators in the AFRL/RW Kinetic-Kill HWIL Simulation (KHILS) facility. The KHILS facility houses Electro-Optical, Infrared, and Radiofrequency (EO/IR/RF) sensors, hardware target simulators and real-time computation systems used to accomplish HWIL testing of advanced EO, IR, and RF weapons systems, subsystems and integrated concepts.
- Develop, document and support a virtual environment
- Provide technical analysis and presentation of each project’s results
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- BS degree in aero or mechanical engineering
- 5 or more years’ experience working with real-time HWIL simulations as applicable to air/space based weapon systems
- Must qualify for a U.S. government SECRET security clearance (existing SECRET security clearance preferred)
- Modeling of weapon systems, subsystems and the environments they operate in
- Guidance, Navigation and/or Control systems
- Hardware/software integration
- Hardware interfaces (e.g., ethernet, serial, etc.)
- Object-oriented software design
- Software: C++, Windows, Linux, MATLAB, Simulink
Desired:
- Software: Python, GUI design, 2D and 3D modeling
