Description
SAIC is seeking a Developmental Test Engineer to lead the development of data link protocol for weapon systems utilizing Link 16 for the Army Network Design Facility located in Huntsville, Alabama.
Job Description:
- Lead the development of procedures, implementation and integration of Link 16 with existing Army platforms that have recently identified their requirement for Link 16 data link network.
- Develop training documentation for the operators and provide training as needed.
- Collaborate closely with a team of other test engineers and software engineers.
- Provide engineering support to test team as new software block cycles are fielded to both existing Link 16 MIDS LVT terminals as well as Link 16 MIDS JTRS terminals that will be procured in the future.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- PhD degree in Engineering and 0+ years of experience; MS degree and 3+ years accepted in lieu of PhD degree
Required Skills:
- Experience with hexidecimal and binary coding
- Familiarity with ComSec and Information Assurance procedures
- Ability to work well on teams
- Very good verbal and written communication skills
Required Clearance:
- Able to obtain Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
- Experience with military data link networks
