SAIC has an opportunity for an IT Asset Management Associate to support the US Army Corps of Engineers Revolutionary IT Services (USACE RITS) program.

NOTE: This is a telework position. The USACE RITS contract will provide modern and secure enterprise-wide IT support services to approximately 37,000 USACE customers located throughout the CONUS and OCONUS. Services will support the mission needs of USACE’s Headquarters (HQs) located in Washington, D.C., nine Divisions and 43 Districts, to include over 1,500 field and area project offices and two data centers that are currently located in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Hillsboro, Oregon.

The primary responsibility for this position is to support IT Asset and Configuration Management of core managed assets and attributes in the ServiceNow CMDB.  This includes asset ordering, asset receiving, inventory, auditing, model management, data entry, reconciliation, and control of managed government furnished IT assets primarily supporting RITS Contract onboarding and offboarding processes and management of enterprise configuration items. Will be a contributing member of the team, to include contributing to documentation and process improvement activities.  Will participate in the resolution of discrepancies of asset/CI attributes and states/statuses in the CMDB.

  • Manage Government Furnished IT Assets for the RITS contract in the IT Service Management Suite and Configuration Management Database, to ensure accuracy and quality of asset management/configuration management data.
  • Enters and maintains all required data in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Update CMDB through reconciliation efforts, reports received from Service Owners, Service Managers, and/or project managers, as applicable.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with RITS team members and other stakeholders to contribute to quality and accurate updates in the CMDB, and report to other system owner when data is found that could provide improvements to other systems.
  • Inventories, identifies and follows up on discrepancies found during ticket processing, or from report analysis.
  • Maintains managed IT asset attributes of managed IT assets.  Understand ITIL v3 Service Asset and Configuration Management or 4 IT Asset Management and Service Configuration practices as well as other relevant IT industry best practices and processes, such as Agile and Project Management, to support modernization and revolution of USACE IT organization.
  • Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
  • Provides data analysis for IT asset management/configuration reports and metrics.
  • Have and understanding of cradle to grave IT Asset Management, refresh processes.
  • Be assigned to and manage assigned tickets in assigned management system team support group
  • Support other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates and/or Bachelors and 0 years related experience; Masters and 0 years related experience
  • Excellent oral and written skills, with an ability to understand and predict customer behavior and response to communication
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Understand the value of quality data without being paralyzed by over analysis
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
  • Understanding of desktop and notebook hardware
  • Familiarity with large CMDB platforms required
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities with promptness, efficiency, and ease
  • US Citizen
  • Interim Secret required to start

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • ServiceNow IT Service Management experience
  • Have an ITIL Foundation experience background
  • Database entry/query/report experience

Target salary range: $25,001 - $50,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
