Description
SAIC is seeking a Test Engineer to support our team in Huntsville, Alabama.
The Test Engineer shall recommend testing methodologies to be used for specific systems, coordinate the development of hardware test fixtures, prepare test plans documenting the intended test methodology, prepare test procedures and test cases based on specific requirements, and may supervise and/or direct other team members.
Responsibilities:
- Shall coordinate the development of test fixtures and conduct various system tests (i.e., integration, systems, regression), document and present test results, perform system validation and verification, and work with users and developers through all phases of system lifecycle, clarifying requirements and ensuring testability
- Shall estimate resource needs for testing tasks for input into project budget and schedules; lead, task, and mentor teams; and ensure that all testing efforts are conducted in accordance with best industry practices
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and zero (0) years related experience.
Qualifications:
- Experience preparing, conducting, and documenting various systems tests and results to verify system operability and compliance with project standards and requirements
- Experience with bug tracking software
- Experience with LabView, Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Model, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) networking, routing, switching, and other basic network concepts
- Experience developing or testing software written in C/C++
- Experience testing software on Windows and Linux
- Experience testing classified systems developed for intelligence purposes
- Experience in a lead test role
- Must have a current, Secret security clearance or able to obtain one before employment
- Prior experience working in a fast paced Government program
