Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Business Manager to join our team supporting the RITS contract with the US Army Corps of Engineers.

This role is 100% REMOTE and can be performed at any location in the CONUS.


  • Leads the contract and business operations functions for a large Government IT contract.
  • Reporting to the overall Program Manager, this position manages budget preparation and analyzes performance against plan.
  • Manages invoicing ensuring accuracy and compliance with the contract parameters and government guidelines.
  • Manages subcontracts and subcontractor performance.
  • Prepares schedules for contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, and variance analysis.
  • Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled.
  • Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks.
  • Directs preparation of proposals, and submitting to the government.
  • Performs program financial and contract analyses and provides both external and internal reporting.
  • Interfaces with program and functional management to provide business management support and analysis to meet program requirements.
  • Participates in knowledge transfer and best practices sharing with peers.
  • Supports and provides to program management teams Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), program base-linings, proposals preparation, negotiation support, risk and opportunities assessment; preparation of visibility reports, performance measurement (Earned Value Management-EVM), variance analyses and development of Estimates To Complete (ETC) and Estimates At Completion (EAC).


Required Education/Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience providing financial management support for large IT programs
  • 8+ years experience managing all aspects of Business Operations for a large Government contract
  • Experience managing the outlook and budget preparation, invoicing, subcontract management, price proposal support, chargeback analysis, and understand Government Cost Plus contracts
  • Leads a team of 30+ employees
  • Interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate effectively, self-awareness, and excellent written and oral communications.
  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, creating professional quality documents, analysis spreadsheets, and presentations for customers.
  • Candidate must possess a US “Public Trust” clearance, Secret (or higher) clearance, or be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Desired Education/Skills:

  • Project Management Professional (PMPÒ)
  • ITIL® 4 Foundation Certification
  • Familiarity with Government Agency environment and invoicing processes
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Business Administration or related discipline

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
