Description
SAIC is currently looking for a Test and Evaluation engineer to provide advisory support to the US Space Force Space and Missile Systems Center Portfolio Architect/Space Systems Integration Organization at Los Angeles AFB, CA. The organization integrates Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) and Weather space systems to support military and intelligence community users. The experienced test engineer will apply industry best practices to ensure consistent standards for test rigor, application of techniques, legitimacy, and reporting as the Program of Records (POR) move forward and transition from the Block 20 ground system to FORGE and EGS. The candidate will review and provide expert feedback on test documentation to ensure the program contractors correctly and adequately allocate contract requirements, design appropriate test plans and schedules with sufficient resources, and execute per plan; monitor tests to ensure adherence to discipline in all T&E phases and review test materials and results to assess compliance with contract requirements; and communicate directly with program contractor stakeholders to ascertain details of testing discrepancies and provide the Government with technical insight into potential downstream impacts prior to review with the program contractor in formal test.
Coordinate with the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center Detachment 4 (STAR DELTA Det 4), the Chief Developmental Testers (CDTs) for Next Gen OPIR (SMC/DCET) and FORGE (SMC/ECXTF), and the Capability Area Integrator for the Missile Warning Division to facilitate the quarterly SBMW ITT that will develop and manage the T&E program outlined in TEMPs for OPIR development and production systems whose current focus includes FORGE, EGS and Next Gen Readiness and Integration; OBAC transition to FORGE, and legacy SBIRS ground transition to FORGE Other duties include:
