Job Description
SAIC requires an experienced Records Management Specialist to provide direct support to a large multi-program NRO System Program Office (SPO). The selected candidate will be the lead support SETA for the management of all SPO records from creation to disposition.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop an NRO-approved file plan for all soft copy records
- Coordinate SPO activities to gain approval for the file plan from NRO Records Management Office
- Create a file plan guide for the SPO that follows the NRO-require filling system (Bucket Records Control Schedule)
- Implement recordkeeping practices for electronic records within the SPO and be able to explain those practices
- Identify essential records necessary for the SPO to function during a disaster and ensure they are included in the Continuity of Operation Plan
- Meet with representatives from each SPO division to understand how each division manages their electronic files
- Conduct an inventory on the types of records created by the SPO
- Collaborate with the Information Management Services Office to ensure proper controls are implemented
- Review and ensure compliance with Executive Order 13526 and other governing NRO Directives and Instructions
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
- Experience with Records Management
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Knowledgeable in NRO Records Management policies and procedures
