SAIC has an immediate opening for Principal System Administrator to support the Army National Guard Enterprise Operations out of Cary, NC. 

Note:  This position is temporarily Remote, once COVID restrictions lift, onsite support at our Cary, NC customer location is required. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining physical/virtual Microsoft based servers in support of business processing requirements. 
• Install, configure, and administer Service applications including, but not limited to:
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS Services
  • MS System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • SharePoint
  • Manage Virtualization infrastructures
  • Configure and Manage Storage Area Networks (SAN)

• Create, execute and report on testing and implementation plans.
• Create, execute and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for Enterprise Services
• Installs, upgrades, and patches operating systems and complex software packages.   
• Schedules installations and upgrades in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. 
• Conducts routine software audits of Microsoft based servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

• Bachelors and eight (8) years or more experience; Additional experience in lieu of degree may be substituted for degree

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: 

• Active DOD SECRET security clearance.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: 

• Must be able to maintain a Security+ certification
• Be able to obtain a ITIL Foundation Certification within 60 days of start date

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

• Windows Systems Administration experience.
• Experience with Microsoft’s Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS services
• Experience maintaining Microsoft Windows 10, Windows Server 2012, 2016, or 2019 platforms
• Knowledge of VMWare/VSphere and/or SCCM/SCOM
• Must be a self-starter; capable of working independently, under limited direction, and in a team environment.
• Capable of resolving complex issues
• Strong troubleshoot and debugging skills
