Opportunity:

Exciting opportunity to join a high-performance team that is spearheading our customers (VA) migration to the cloud.  Tremendous growth opportunity working within cloud ecosystem and using cutting-edge technologies.  Looking for an engineer who can work at scale and with autonomy, who can be a trusted advisor to our client.  This is a 100% Remote role. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Migrating on-premise products to the cloud including Microsoft Azure Government (MAG) and AWS (GovCloud).
  2. Customer focused support of Product lines and Services.
  3. Ensuring customer expectations are met around service levels (SLAs / SLOs).
  4. Adhering to best practices around cost, security, and architecture.
  5. Cross-collaboration with Engineers, Developers, DBAs and Product teams.
  6. Use of monitoring / telemetry tools for ensuring availability / reliability of systems.
  7. Mentoring of junior team members.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  1. Cloud - Expert level knowledge of the Azure and/or AWS ecosystems, at scale.
  2. Automation (IAAC) - Skilled in the use of automation tools for provisioning and configuration management (ie Ansible, Terraform, etc).
  3. Experience in all aspects of Software and Product Life Cycles (SDLC / PDLC).
  4. CI / CD - Creation of pipelines for managing delivery of software.
  5. Administration – expert level skill administering Linux / Windows.
  6. Scripting - Experience with Powershell, Python, BASH, etc.
  7. Design - Expert level experience with architectural design in cloud setting.
  8. Monitoring / Logging – experience with tools used for logging (ie elastic, splunk) as well as monitoring systems (Dynatrace, New Relic, etc).

Nice to Have:

  1. Container Orchestration – Kubernetes, OpenShift
  2. Development – software development experience in an enterprise setting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline is required.
  • 9 years of work experience (4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education, if no degree).
  • Ability to obtain security clearance.
  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and excellent customer service.
  • A good understanding of software design lifecycle process.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Capable to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience providing services to the federal government and/or the Dept. of Veterans’ Affairs is preferred

Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
