Description
SAIC is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Administrator to be a part of our team at Hanscom AFB, MA. As a member of the team, you'll be providing configuration, and management support to a Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) system and an integration lab.
The CSfC and integration lab development and management is part of a greater project to provide key design, installation, and research support to successfully implement a multilevel security (MLS) system meant to allow greater collaboration between various government networks. This project is on the forefront of new technologies and concepts including zero trust architecture, and SAIC will design, build, and test systems meant to challenge the existing paradigm of the USAF enterprise network architecture. Duties and Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain ESXi and vCenter, Windows and RHEL operating systems, system services, and endpoint security supporting an encrypted transport solution.
- Help stand up an integration lab based on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
- Manage storage, identity and access management, and system monitoring/auditing.
- Assist with functional and integration testing and provide recommendations to improve performance.
- Test and apply system patches to meet security requirements.
- Configure systems to meet DoD cybersecurity requirements.
- Analyze system designs for risks to data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Participate in the change control board process for controlled and deliberate system changes.
- Apply process improvement practices for system installation, patching, and testing.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD or JD and zero (0) years or more experience.
- Knowledge of U.S. Department of Defense security requirements, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policies, and DNS
- Experience with MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in McAfee ePO management.
- Experience in implementing and troubleshooting network management and auditing tools such as SolarWinds and Splunk.
- Experience troubleshooting, integrating, and/or supporting multiple computing systems, including Linux platforms, Windows platforms, ESXi, vCenter, etc.
- Basic networking experience and experience troubleshooting firewalls is a plus.
