We have a current requirement for a Senior Systems Engineer with significant Systems Administration experience at the customer's Fort George G. Meade Maryland area complex in support of the customer's Tactical Capabilities and Integration Team. The candidate should have at least five (5) years of demonstrated experiences in Joint Cryptologic operations and capabilities and DNI and USD(I&S) strategies and policies as well as at least five (5) years of demonstrated experiences in Combat Support Agencies or Services collection strategies and Programs for Record. They will provide systems engineering support to a customer team, which will include areas of architecture, design, development, requirements analysis, data flow, and network design.
The selected engineer will be responsible for:
Management of all System Security Plans (SSPs) for network enclaves associated with the team
Account management – Check LDAP and RADIUS – ensure accounts and passwords are fresh
Patching windows and Linux computers, Cisco Routers and Switches
Updating McAfee security files
Running NESSUS scans on network and computer equipment
Managing Tenable Security Center and audit policies
Managing Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK Stack)
Utilizing Ansible to deploy configuration changes
Managing configuration control of IT assets on TTO6
Coordinating with event locations to ensure access
Coordinating with Cryptologic Engagement Representatives to ensure objective owners asset requirements are met.
Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
Managing Security Authorization POA&Ms
Position requires some travel: several small trips (2-5 days) per year and one longer trip (2 to 5 weeks) per year
Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 years of general systems engineering experience, a Master’s degree or PhD in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 13 years of general systems engineering experience, or a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 19 years of general systems engineering experience.
Must have at least five (5) years of demonstrated experiences in Combat Support Agencies or Services collection strategies and Programs for Record.
Must have at least five (5) years of demonstrated experiences in Joint Cryptologic operations and capabilities. DNI and USD(I&S) strategies and policies.
Familiarity with systems engineering & requirements; emphasis on the architecture, design, development, requirements analysis, data flow, network design for a program.
Ability to analyze user requirements to develop concept of operations documents, and high level system architecture and requirements specifications. At least 50% of this experience should have been in an Intelligence Community environment.
Demonstrate experience with Operating Systems (Windows, Linux).
Demonstrate experience with Bash, git, and Ansible.
Must meet DoD Directive 8570 IAM Level 2 requirements (Security + at a minimum).
This is a full time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year.
