SAIC has a new opportunity for a Implementation/Integration Specialist in Omaha, NE.  This work will be within the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Mission Assurance Division and require providing hardware, software and technical expertise to the Strategic Mission Assurance Data System (SMADS), which supports the Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP) in tracking and managing assets and of importance for USSTRATCOM, the Armed Services, DOD agencies, and civil, commercial, and international organizations sharing mutual  interests across the broad spectrum of national security missions.  The successful applicant will provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex and technically challenging classified work.  Additionally, the successful applicant must have the ability to work proactively, independently, and as a member of a highly effective technical team while developing innovative solutions.  Qualified candidates must have active TS/SCI security clearance.

 

Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Primary--SMADS Laptop Administration:

  • Act as a liaison with internal and external customer organizations to identify their SMADS laptop update requirements and schedule updates
  • Coordinate entry/exit letters as needed to bring laptops into the SCIF workspace or return them after being updated
  • Work with the J342 SMADS development team to obtain updated application and database baselines for laptop updates and to develop/refine processes for updating laptops with the latest version of SMADS
  • Work with the J342 SMADS database developer and ITCC II database administrators to obtain snapshots of current production SMADS data
  • Maintain inventory and configuration control for J34 SMADS laptops
  • Backing up laptop configurations and cloning baseline configurations to other laptops

Secondary--Application Development:

  • Support the development of the SMADS web application, elicit customer requirements, analyze potential solutions, document designs and test procedures
  • SMADS maintenance and feature enhancement utilizing ASP.NET MVC with C#, NHibernate, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery.  Entity Framework is an acceptable substitute for NHibernate.
  • Component/system test planning, verification and validation
  • Provide customer and end user situational awareness through development of status presentations and demonstrations

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications:
    • 3 years’ experience in hardware configuration and software development
    • 3 years’ experience with web development, ASP.NET MVC, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL (or equivalent) experience
    • Bachelors degree and nine years or more experience, Masters and seven years or more of experience, or PhD and 4 years or more of experience
    • Must have active TS/SCI Clearance 
    • Able to work independently with minimal guidance
    • Skilled at communicating with and relating to customers
    • Familiar with current Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Desired Qualifications:
    • Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in computer science / engineering
    • Familiarity with Human Factor Engineering (HF) and Graphical User Interface (GUI) design
    • Experience in administering Windows-based computers
    • Basic understanding of Internet Information Services (IIS) website configuration
    • Familiarity with Oracle database
