Job Description


SAIC is looking for a Logistics Analyst to provide day-to-day, onsite operational logistics maintenance and support of electronic systems, workstations, and servers for the US Navy’s Computer Network Defense team in Charleston, SC.  We are looking for a motivated, adaptable individual with a background in DoD Logistics, willing and able to help out on mission critical operations in support of NIWC LANT.

Job Description:

  • This position will be responsible for maintaining detailed spreadsheets to track inventory across multiple builds and variants, organize hardware parts and integral build components, and account for inbound/outbound equipment and material.
  • Prepare Navy documentation to include TMRs/ MRFs/DD1149’s for processing, shipping and receiving of equipment.
  • Research equipment and material for quotes.
  • Aid in the installation of hardware components upon request.
  • Process material staged for decommissioning through Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO).

Travel: Anticipated travel is up to 10%, both CONUS and OCONUS.  Candidate must have or be able to obtain a US Passport.


Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors and three (3) years or more experience; or 7 years of related experience with a GED/HS degree.

Required skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, to include: logistics principles, practices, and processes.
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects in excess of 50lbs
  • Proficiency with CMPRO or DoD inventory / logistics management tools
  • Experience with RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) processes, researching and assigning National Stock Numbers (NSNs),  building and maintaining a Bill of Materials (BOM)

Required clearance:

  • Active Secret Clearance and have eligibility for Top Secret. 

Desired skills:

  • Experience using a pallet jack or chassis dolly.
  • Experience with Unique Material Masters (UMMs).
  • Experience with researching and creating cage codes.
  • Provisioning experience is a plus, or having had prior experience with researching equipment and material.
