Description
Our team is seeking a VDI Engineer with expert experience in VMware vSphere and Horizon View, as well as experience in either Azure or AWS Cloud environments to support our Federal Government customer. The candidate will work within the server engineering team supporting the Infrastructure and Operations Hosting Environment within the Department of Transportation. This individual will perform day to day activities required to administer VDI in support of end users. Create and deploy application package to VDI user. Performs VDI image create and distributed. Perform all systems updates and patches. Troubleshoot complex issues and provides incident resolution for all related incidents requiring escalated support or subject matter enterprise.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience administrating a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). Must have experience providing end-user support related to VDI.
- VMware VCP Certification
HIGH PRIORITY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS
- VMware ESXi Virtualization
- VMware Horizon View VDI
- Liquidware Labs ProfileUnity and Stratusphere UX experience
- Operating Systems (Windows 10, Windows 2012 R2, Windows 2019)
- VMware Thinapp and Microsoft App-V application virtualization experience
- Amazon Workspaces VDI desktops
- Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD)
- Cisco UCS Blade Servers experience
- NetApp SAN systems experience
- Active Directory and Group Policy Management
- Experience in administering Windows & Netapp CIFS file shares and NTFS security
- Smart cards / PIV cards / CAC card integration experience
- Experience with SQL Server HA Clusters
- General Scripting Knowledge (VBScript, PowerShell)
- General Administration of Unix/Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Apache, Tomcat)

Target salary range: $75,001 - $85,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
