SAIC is seeking a highly experienced Optical Engineer to provide Systems Engineering services to a Government customer. Due to the complexity of the program, experience in the customer domain is required. Work will be performed in the Dulles, and Tyson’s areas.
The ideal candidate will advise staff officers on feasibility of new and existing technology as it relates to the mission space. The candidate will have current understanding of existing transport network protocols and maintain currency on state-of-industry networking topics. The Optical Engineer will have a working understanding of optical networks and lab experience manipulating and maintaining optical equipment. You will also demonstrate a solid systems engineering background enabling development, flow-down, and verification of systems requirements.
