Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Program Analyst to support an exciting new opportunity with the MK48 Afterbody/Tailcone (AB/TC) and MK29 Fuel Tanks program at Middletown, RI. Experience and understanding of the MK48 torpedo operation is not necessary but a willingness and interest in learning technical basics will be imperative to providing support to this team. 

The individual will be required to attend meetings, generate various reports; maintain MS Excel financial tracking documentation; develop project management support documents including program plans, team communications, organize documents and manage project archives, and develop various reports and presentation material as needed. Some administrative support tasking is to be expected. Individual will need a government clearance and strong computer skills.

Duties may include:

  • Provide support for requirements of the Program Management Office (PMO) primarily for, but not limited to, the Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, Program Control, and Chief Engineer(s).
  • Develop technical reports, prepare assorted presentations, and assist with the management and tracking of other project data, as required.
  • Support record management, logistics support, asset tracking, configuration management etc.
  • Assist in tracking of project status, budgets, and schedules.
  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction, goals and objectives.
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving.


Required education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (or related field) and two years related experience in the field or in a related area; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Required skills:

  • Capable of handling moderate workloads effectively coordinating with multiple resources, and multitask in a fast paced environment that may often have competing priorities with minimal assistance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications to include: Outlook/Zoom integration, updating Excel files, Word documents and PowerPoint briefs.
  • Ability to work within the program's chain of command and interact appropriately with individuals at all levels, including those at very senior levels.

Required clearance:

  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Desired experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Prior DOD experience working in a related field.
  • Understanding of technical documentation a plus
  • MS Project a plus
  • Some working knowledge of the following corporate applications:
    • TEAMS
    • iCenter (SharePoint)
    • WindChill
