Description

SAIC is looking for a dedicated, talented videographer/video editor to join our fun creative team in the Chantilly, VA area. We need an exceptional individual who is enthusiastic about what they want to do for a living and excited to come in every day to learn and contribute to our team and support our various customer’s missions.


The applicant should have experience as a videographer with video editing and motion design skills. The candidate should be detail oriented and demonstrate strong time management skills and should be mature and customer focused and able to handle criticism of work. The applicant must demonstrate solid conceptual problem solving skills and can translate customer requirements into visually engaging, innovative solutions to include but not limited to program advocacy, informational, historical, motivational, and training videos. The candidate should understand and know how to work with green screen, shoot well lite interviews, work with actors, coordinate on-site video shoots, help with script writing and storyboarding, and develop questions for interviews to capture the information needed for the final video products.  The applicant should have strong knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, AfterEffects, Premiere, Audition, video plug-ins and Microsoft Powerpoint, and Word.

The candidate should have working knowledge of a variety of video equipment such as cameras, rigs, on-set lighting, audio capturing and sweetening, and event photography and videography.

Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to participate in meetings with customers, and colleagues to exchange information, partake in decisions, and provide updates.
  • Ability to collect requirements for video projects, create outlines, storyboards, and scripts. Shoot and edit video, capture and edit narration, video editing, and finalize video projects for completion.
  • Solid knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing.
  • Ability to create motion graphics and VFX with Adobe AfterEffects.
  • Managing and complying with a variety of customer style guides.
  • Ability to produce a variety of videos such as program advocacy, informational, historical, motivational, and training videos.
  • Support efforts to improve videos and design, course usability, and other strategic communication efforts.
  • Establish production and editing workflows to enable quick turnaround times for a series of video products for timely upload to customer websites
  • Demonstrated proficiency with video tools such as Adobe Premiere, AfterEffects, Audition, and compression tools.
  • Can edit linear and non-linear video on PC platform.
  • Candidate should have the ability to work with the customer, brainstorm ideas, and create storyboards and assist with scripts that depict customer’s vision.
  • Can work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Mature and Customer Focused, able to handle criticism of work.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in the discipline of media arts, advertising, or video with 6 plus years of related experience.

- Must have solid portfolio for review.

- Must be a US citizen.             

-Must have a current TS/SCI security clearance and obtain/maintain a Polygraph.
