Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Project Scheduler to support the US Navy in creating, updating and coordinating project schedules located in Crane, IN. The Project Scheduler will create resource usage model and predictions while working closely with team leaders to build, evaluate and optimize project schedules. 

  • Work closely with the project team to develop, maintain and manage the project schedule across multiple projects; to include development, engineering, construction, supply chain, regulatory and finance-related activities
  • Report on project statuses, trends, forecasts, project contingency, and schedule risks and opportunities
  • Regularly review critical path, cost loading, schedule content, use of relationships and lag, constraints and milestones
  • Updating the schedule and comparing the actual work performed against the baseline program
  • Provide schedule analysis and metrics to key stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Defining an appropriate Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in line with the adopted project development and project delivery strategy
  • Participate in the development of standards to support the functional groups in successful delivery of projects
  • Identifying activities impacting the schedule's critical path and facilitating the identification of opportunities to accelerate completion of the work, or measures to avoid potential delays



  • Bachelor's and three (3) or more years of experience in project scheduling; OR HS/GED with 7 years of experience ; experience accepted in lieu of education.


  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and Integrated Master Schedule 
  • Experience in project planning/scheduling
  • An understanding of critical path methodology to ensure, and communicate, timely delivery of milestone tasks


  • Must be a U. S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Full DoD Secret Clearance; interim Secret required to start
