SAIC has an opening for a Capture Manager to join our talented, dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this position include:
- Responsible for the capture ownership of assigned opportunities in support of the Federal Health market
- Responsible for the management and execution of the full business development life-cycle process across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals
- Routinely be assigned 2-3 concurrent solicitation pursuits at various stages of the capture lifecycle primarily in Federal Health-related agencies (e.g., Department of Veterans Affairs, Health and Human Services, Defense Health Agency)
- Secure knowledge and understanding of customer requirements, issues, and needs during the pursuit and capture phases and lead planning sessions with core team
- Coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices
- Plan and participate in capture activities, to include opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, collaboration and workshop sessions, proposal reviews
- Lead competitive assessments, teaming, and price-to-win efforts
- Lead the development and submission of whitepapers, RFI responses, and other proposal artifacts as assigned
- Brief capture status to senior management at specified milestones in the capture process, when material changes occur and as needed
- Support other business development activities as assigned
- Conduct after action reviews for all business opportunity capture participants to document lessons learned and identify necessary adjustments to capture technique, strategy, and actions
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Ability to conceptualize a vision for winning, to develop a capture plan that implements the vision and translates into win themes, to adjust the vision as the procurement unfolds, and to focus and manage the capture activities and team (internal and external) to achieve the vision through final proposal submission and assist in preparing the execution team to perform quickly post award
- Superior attention to detail, writing and presentation skills
- Analyze, prioritize, and assess customer requirements and issues
- Facilitate meetings (e.g., solutioning, capture, planning, gate reviews, briefings) with a variety of stakeholders (e.g., customers, executives, management, delivery teams, subject matter experts, contracts, finance, account managers)
- Develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices
- Able to create pricing estimates, BOEs, and org charts for complex technical proposals
- Professional and technical writing capabilities (e.g., white papers, RFI responses, other proposal artifacts as assigned)
- Brief capture status to senior management at specified milestones in the capture process, when material changes occur and as needed
- Identify lessons learned and adapt capture techniques, strategy, and actions for future opportunities
- Ability to develop capture budgets and execute capture plans within those approved budgets
Required Experience
- 8+ years of related work experience, preferably as a successful capture manager with proven experience capturing new business related to cybersecurity, DevSecOps, IT modernization, and agile software development support
- Proven writing background
- Proven record of high achievement and commitment to quality work

Target salary range: $175,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
