Description
· Provide technical expertise to the ERAM Program Office technical team, specifically in the following areas supporting the Investment Decision process.
· Provide technical SME expertise to the ERAM Program Office Engineering Team.
· Review engineering documents, i.e. requirements, specifications related to enhancements to ERAM EE3.
· Provide analysis and prepare briefing input as requested for ERAM EE3.
· Review technical documents including presentations, white papers, and specifications.
· Develop briefing packages, graphs, presentation materials, and other documents.
· Prepare white papers, decision memos, and other documents to support the assessment of new/revised requirements.
Qualifications
· A BS in an engineering discipline with 30+ years of experience.
· Experience using the FAA's AMS to support ERAM system enhancements and tech refresh.
· Solid understanding of air traffic and traffic management operations in the En Route domains.
· Demonstrated expertise with new and legacy systems, technical alternative analyses, acquisition management of information systems, and information management tools.
· Experience working on and managing large and complex projects.
· Knowledge of ERAM Flight Plan processing functions to support assessment of impacts and viability of proposed changes.
· Current or previous experience as a pilot is preferred.
· Knowledge of ERAM interface protocols with adjacent ATC automation platforms to support assessment of impacts resulting from desired additions to offshore and international systems.
· Knowledge of ERAM data sharing interface protocols to support assessment of impacts resulting from expansion of aviation data exchange.
· Experience integrating work efforts involving TBFM, STARS, and ERAM.
· Ability to communicate with various organizations within the FAA, including AJM, AJV, AJT, ANG, and NATCA.
· Experience developing integrated test procedures, validating operational concepts and program requirements.
· Experience facilitating technical meetings with multiple PMO organizations and multiple prime vendors to find technical solutions, considering the impacts of cost, schedule, and quality.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills using both technical and user-friendly language.
· Possess a flexible personality, self-motivated and willingness to multi-task.
· Detailed-oriented mindset and proficiency in researching and analyzing highly technical information and systems.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
· Proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as having the ability to identify and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of system investments.
· Technical understanding of the FAA's automation and traffic management systems.
· Excellent troubleshooting skills.
· Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
