SAIC is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer candidate to support Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) which provides the U.S. Navy and military with essential capabilities in the areas of command and control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR), cyber, and space.

This position supports the Cybersecurity efforts for NAVAIR PMA-275 in the development and sustainment of the Comprehensive Automated Maintenance Environment Optimized (CAMEO) system. 

Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) provides the U.S. Navy and military with essential capabilities in the areas of command and control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR), cyber, and space.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create documentation required to obtain an Authority to Operate (ATO) in accordance with guidance from the Navy Security Control Assessor (SCA), Navy Authorizing Official (NAO), and DoD 8510.01 DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Provide technical, validation, and ISSE support for A&A planning and documentation for Government systems
  • Complete Cybersecurity activities in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
  • Support Security Testing in lab and operational environments
  • Monitoring software compliance in the DoN Application and Database Management System (DADMS)
  • Coordinate and lead the project’s Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) Program

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in (STEM), or an Information Technology or Cyber Technology  (IT) related field AND five (5) years of relevant work experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Masters and three (3) years or more experience. PhD and 0 years related experience. 
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) / USN, USMC, and USAF Assessment and Authorization (A&A)
  • NIST Special Publications
  • Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) or USMC Validator
  • DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Program (DIACAP)
  • Automated vulnerability scanning tools
  • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) / Tenable Nessus & Security Center
  • DISA Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker (SCC)
  • Create a Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) with vulnerator and USMC POA&M Generation Engine (PAGE)
  • Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
  • Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Marine Corps Certification and Accreditation Support Tool (MCCAST) v2
  • Implementation and documentation of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirement Guides (SRGs).
  • Administration and/or development with:
  • Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Java
  • Apache Tomcat
  • PostgreSQL
  • Virtualization
  • Cloud-based technologies
