SAIC is seeking an Aegis Weapons System Engineers who plays an active role in the assessment and evaluation of all aspects of the SM3 missile software as well as the interfaces and communications between the missile and the Aegis Weapons System.
TEAMS Next was recently awarded as the Defense Technology Solutions provider for the next 7+ years. Supporting the development of a highly integrated and effective MDS capability to defend the United States, deployed forces, allies, and friends against missile threats in all phases of flight.
Evaluate the various elements of the AWS in support Baseline (B/L) development and modernization from initial detection the intercept and post intercept analysis.
Performs other responsibilities and technical support to the Chief Engineer and Program Manager associated with this position as may be appropriate
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or BS degree related technical field
Military education can be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s (with associate degree) and master’s degree (with bachelor’s degree).
3+ years of related experience
Familiarity with the construction and interfaces between all the elements comprising the AWS (Aegis Weapon System)
Troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform Hardware-in-the-loop testing
Planned Maintenance System (PMS) tasks and purposes.
Ability to understand and be familiar with the maintenance and operations of the AWS
Development of test procedures
Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.

Active Top-Secret Clearance
Prior experience with Aegis Weapons Systems (AWS)
5+ years of related experience
Experience with AWS maintenance techniques
Experience with Missile defense-related or other DoD programs/projects
