SAIC is currently seeking a senior level multi- functional Administrator/Developer with experience in SharePoint farm administration/development and SQL Server administration/development in Huntsville, AL.

Job Description:

This position requires in-depth knowledge of multiple Microsoft technologies in a Windows Server environment. The successful candidate should have a thorough understanding of system architecture, design, development, and implementation, including interaction between databases and applications, such as SharePoint and custom web sites. The candidate must be capable of working in the current team environment on enterprise projects and enhancing existing applications.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the current SharePoint farm administrator to perform SharePoint farm configuration, administration, support, and maintenance

- Ability to assist in the migration of SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2019
- Perform database development and maintenance activities in a MS SQL Server 2014/2016 environment
- Create, Review, Update, Execute PowerShell scripts for automating tasks and reporting
- Support all server and application patching during approved maintenance windows
- Provide coordinated support in troubleshooting custom code during approved maintenance windows
- Deploy custom SharePoint solutions
- Support the development team throughout the SDLC
- Assist SharePoint site administrators as needed
- Utilize Central Admin and PowerShell to implement configuration changes and meet customer requirements
- Design, implement, operate, maintain and optimize databases, database components (e. g. tables, indexes, procedures, queries/views, maintenance plans, etc.) and database security (table/view/procedure permissions)
- Proactively manage servers by reviewing the appropriate logs, performance metrics, and manage storage resources
- Analyze, monitor, and troubleshoot hourly, daily, and weekly loads of production data
- Ensure the overall health and availability of database objects by regularly verifying data integrity, and implementing disaster recovery (backup and restore) procedures
- Ensure health of database and perform backup processes
- Provide and support governance policies and procedures including change management, perform an assessment of design changes and impact and ensures compliance with governance policies, information architecture and other organizational policies
- Provide Tier II and III support for incidents and problems related to SharePoint, SQL Server databases, and custom web sites
- Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures and techniques for the resolution of system problems to ensure maximum system availability and performance levels
- Ensure full customer requirements are met for systems and applications while adhering to DISA STIGs and RMF requirements.
- Perform other related assignments as needed

 

Qualifications

 Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience

Required Qualifications:
- Active CompTIA Security+ CE Certification.

- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
- An acceptable Computing Environment certification.
- Extensive experience with SharePoint 2013 farm administration and MS SQL Server 2014 database administration
- Knowledge of SharePoint front end development, including custom site and workflow development
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Familiar with DoD STIGs and well versed in DoD information assurance policies and regulations
- Experience with database and web site performance tuning and optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Experience with applying system patches and in developing and implementing backup and recovery scenarios
- Ability to administer systems including Windows servers, SharePoint, IIS web sites, and SQL Server systems
- Ability to assist other Development Team members with issues as they arise
- Experience with integrating MS SQL Server (2012/2014) with MS SharePoint (2013)
- Proficient in a Windows Server environment including experience with servers including IIS, Windows Server 2012, and SQL Server 2014
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Must be self-motivated and willing to take ownership of issues

Desired Qualifications:
- Software development experience with Microsoft. NET technologies
- A working knowledge of Oracle databases and Oracle WebLogic is desired
- Knowledge of F5 Big IP APM
