Description
SAIC, a leading provider of systems development & deployment, targeting & intelligence analysis, systems engineering & integration, and training capabilities and solutions for the Intelligence Community, is seeking creative and dedicated professional to fulfill their career goals and objectives while delivering mission excellence on programs of national importance.
SAIC’s Software Developer will create and maintain applications in support of large-scale data storage and manipulation efforts. These efforts include a large emphasis on data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) in a cloud environment.
Qualifications
Mandatory Skills:
- Must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph
- Three (3) or more years of demonstrated experience in software development
- Developing with diverse data types
- Converting data between multiple file formats and file systems
- Working in an Agile development environment
- Utilizing object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#, or Ruby
- Creating and maintaining software and/or web applications using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, or XML
- Developing and deploying applications within a Windows or Linux environment
- Utilizing project tracking tools such as JIRA or Hive
Optional Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline. Note that years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Using ETL tools such as Pentaho or Kylo
- Utilizing big data technologies such as Sparc or Impala
- Using relational databases such as MS SQL Server, Oracle Database, or MySQL
- Working with REST or SOAP APIs
- Developing within a cloud environment such as AWS or Azure
- Using search and indexing engines such as Solr or ElasticSearch
- Certifications: AWS Certified Developer, Cloudera Certified Hadoop Developer, Certified Data Professional, ServiceNow Application Developer, Certified Scrum Master
