SAIC has an immediate need for a Change Management Analyst Senior to support the NASA Integrated Communications Services (NICS) contract at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. The NICS contract provides high quality integrated communications services for secure voice, video and data solutions and services to NASA customers worldwide. This position is responsible for incorporating ITIL Change Management best practices across the NICS contract to ensure NICS IT services are delivered and managed in an efficient and effective manner. This team is responsible for facilitating controlled change across the NICS contract. This team also leads the way in providing data analysis and trends to identify service delivery issues while providing guidance to change owners to minimize schedule impacts.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate controlled change
  • Ensure change requests have all the information required at submission
  • Monitor all change requests as they progress through the change process
  • Facilitate communication with stakeholders to resolve issues that hinder the request from progressing
  • Consistent reporting of changes to identify possible issues
  • Continuous investigation to improve change process

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • 4-year degree and 5 years of experience, or at least 9 years of related work experience in lieu of degree

Required Skills:

  • Good people skills and able to work in close proximity with co-workers during intense periods of schedule mandated deliverables
  • Good writing and oral skills
  • Ability to present in front of an audience that can include high level customers
  • Solid understanding of ITIL Change Management
  • Good analytical skills: able to sift through data to identify possible issues
  • Experience with BMC Remedy
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of Enterprise process implementation and execution
  • Basic understanding of IT networks and communication systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Ability to maintain good working relationship with customer counterparts

 

Desired Skills / Experiences:

  • DevOps experience
  • Agile experience
  • Understanding of NASA’s IT environment
  • Understanding of Remedy’s template structure
  • Understanding of Release and Deployment Packages
