SAIC is looking for a Policy Analyst with a TS/SCI to support a dynamic program in Arlington (Rosslyn), VA.
Individual works at SAIC site (and some telework) in support of a Department of Defense (DOD) Federal Advisory Committee providing analytical and administrative support. Required ability to travel to DOD installations and facilities to attend meetings and work on classified systems, with routine trips to the Pentagon. The candidate will coordinate practical aspects of meetings, provide on-site expert meeting assistance, provide analytical reporting, and draft Principal-level correspondence and communications.
Nature of work actively engages issues, actions, and initiatives concerning, or relating to, the management, research, and development of national security concern, specifically in the science and technology sectors. Particular emphasis includes topics of interest to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering.
Responsibilities include:

Research and analysis support, development, and coordination of reports, and preparation and review of documents. Maintains status of reports from initial drafts and comment adjudication through fully-coordinated documents.

Provides meeting support such as hosting classified meetings at SAIC facilities or in the Pentagon, working with high-level Government personnel to secure agenda speakers

develop agenda, draft meeting minutes, research and develop subject matter sources (both unclassified and classified), etc.

Hosts, sets up, works with security/IT experts for unclassified virtual meetings using Microsoft Teams and JWICS secure video teleconferencing.

Frequent trips to Pentagon to utilize JWICS and other classified systems and attend and host meetings.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of five (5) years of experience Bachelor's degree required (in a national security-related area) and five (5) or more years of experience, or Master’s degree and three (3) or more years of experience, most of which working in or with the Department of Defense.

Excellent communications – both written and oral. This is a people-interfacing position.

Keen knowledge of defense and national security issues and topics, especially those important to the Department of Defense.

Working knowledge of Pentagon desired.

Collaboration and team player

Proficiency with hosting virtual teleconferences.

Proficiency with Excel, Power Point and MS Word.

Must be able to work at customer site on occasion in support of senior management or executives with little supervision (not duty station, but for hours/days in support).
REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:

Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
