SAIC has an immediate opening for an IT Readiness Coordinator with a background in defining, capturing, tracing, and evaluating Information Technology (IT) service delivery artifacts designed to meet the fulfillment of mission needs (i.e., Request for Changes (RFCs)).  The successful applicant will participate within a team of Systems Engineers and Technical Advisors (SETAs) Verifying and Validating IT service deliveries to mission customers.  Candidates will manage organizational cost, schedule, and scope commitments by leverage their background in IT Dev/Sec/Test/Ops service deliveries to contrast organizational commitments (RFCs) against customer IT service deliveries (i.e., Requested Items).

 

Responsibilities

On the Job Training will be provided in the customer’s specific Systems Engineering processes and knowledge domain, but the successful candidate must be able to:

  • Successfully work independently as well as within a team
  • Proactively research, define, and coordinate Requirements Tractability Verification Matrixes (RTVMs) to ensure Service Providers understand how verify service requirements through approved test cases and/or observations
  • Pre-coordinate the scope and method for the performance of User Acceptance tests
  • Trace proposed fulfillment artifacts against requirements
  • Work with Service Portfolio Managers (SPfMs) and Service Providers to evaluate if the IT Ecosystem fulfilled the customer’s need (i.e., is the solution “Fit for Purpose” and “Fit for Use”)
  • Represent IT Ecosystem equities during Verification and Validation (V&V) testing with outside organizations to prevent scope, cost, or schedule creep
  • When scope creep is detected, inform customers of the need for updated scope commitments (i.e., RFCs) and appropriate inter-organization funding, or Un-Funded Requests (UFRs) definitions
  • Highlight failed and/or missing requirements fulfillment
  • Capture, document, and present V&V findings and commitment statuses to decision makers
  • Assist with analyzing or estimating the impact of revisiting or re-working test cases

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and zero (0) years or more experience.

 

Education:

  • Bachelors in a STEM field of study and five (5) years or more work experience; Masters and three (3) years or more work experience; PhD or JD and zero (0) years or more work experience;  Work experience of more than nine (9) years is sufficient without a degree
  • PMP and/or Agile certification is a plus, but not required
  • ITIL certification is a plus, but not required

 

Desired Experience:

  • Two (2) or more years of experience performing IT acceptance testing
  • One (1) or more years of experience with Project Management
  • Strong customer relationship management
  • Excellent writing, organization, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Simultaneous management of multiple tasks and deliverables

 

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must Possess a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance  and be willing and able to obtain a Poly
