SAIC, a leading provider of systems development & deployment, targeting & intelligence analysis, systems engineering & integration, and training capabilities and solutions for the Intelligence Community, is seeking creative and dedicated professional to fulfill their career goals and objectives while delivering mission excellence on programs of national importance.  SAIC is the provider of IT services to the FRTIB contract known as Technology and Enterprise Support Services (TESS) .  SAIC is looking for Systems Administrators to support the Enterprise IT infrastructure for the customer and the SAIC employees working on contract. The positions are located in Washinton D.C. and are onsite employees (no remote work is authorized).   

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under minimal supervision, provides on-site technical support by performing installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of workstations and related software/hardware.
  • Coordinate and perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems,  software and patching packages for Windows 10.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware failures and apply domain specific knowledge to return equipment to operational status within agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, operate, and maintain computers, workstations, laptops, printers, scanners, and any other equipment within the scope of this task.
  • Management of the IBM Endpoint Management (BigFix) System.
  • Creation and testing of deployable software packages, and software asset management, and software license management.
  • Create, test, deploy and manage FRTIB standard computer images via the Workstation Deployment Server (WDS).
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware failures and apply domain specific knowledge to return systems to operational status within agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
  • Interact daily with supervisor, peer groups and customers in order to manage work flow in timely and professional manner.
  • Performs high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems on workstations and servers.
  • Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. 
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions of varying complexities.
  • Develops, implements and promotes standard operating procedures and schedules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; additional experience can be considered in lieu of degree
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Federal Public Trust clearance.
  • Extensive experience with deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft OS (Windows 10), Active Directory, and Microsoft Office suite products.
  • Experience deploying patches using an endpoint management solution such as SSCM, Bigfix or Intune.  
  • Troubleshooting experience in regards to patch installation failures on workstations\servers.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of Service Now or other ticketing and change management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Be able to write technical documentation not limited to Standard Operating Procedures and Technical Reviews of possible future products.
  • Needs to be customer oriented, with excellent customer support skills in person, by email and over the phone.
  • Scripting experience
