SAIC is seeking a Sustainment Integration and Technical Baseline Lead for the Global Positioning System (GPS) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Team. The GPS SE&I Team provides specialized engineering, analysis, operations support, and subject matter expertise to the United States Space Force’s Space Systems Center and GPS customers.  The Team also provides systems engineering and analysis services to include system development, enterprise and system architecture, acquisition, testing, operations, and sustainment support for existing and new capabilities.
This position supports SSC/ECPG at Peterson Space Force Base and the primary duties include:
  • Leverage technical experience and expertise in integrating new capabilities and managing the technical baseline for complex sustainment and/or operational space systems, with subject matter expertise in the PNT/GPS mission area.
  • Identify derived requirements from government specifications and interface control documents, and assist with translating requirements into tasks for hardware and software sustainers and developers
  • Support the GPS Enterprise in defining, capturing, and maintaining the technical, schedule, and cost risks throughout the system lifecycle and developing risk mitigation courses of action and assessing impacts of risks and proposed changes
  • Supporting the GPS Sustainment (SSC/ECPG) in managing a segment/division-level Technical Baseline Configuration Management Process to include preparing for and executing segment level Engineering Review Boards and Configuration Control Boards.
  • Maintaining control of and providing engineering recommendations to the government on all sustainment projects/studies/tests from inception through completion

Qualifications

  • Current Secret clearance or higher
  • Master’s Degree
  • Subject matter expertise in PNT/GPS
  • 12+ years’ experience in systems engineering, systems integration, testing/verification, and/or large-systems acquisitions
  • Expertise in integrating new operational capabilities and managing the technical baseline for complex sustainment and/or operational space systems
Desired Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in STEM field
  • Operations/Sustainment experience in the PNT/GPS mission area
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
