SAIC is currently seeking En Route Air Traffic Controller Instructors to help the FAA train the next generation of ATC Specialists, as they implement the next generation of ATC technology.
We need experienced former controllers who can blend their years of hard-won knowledge, skills and experience with these leading edge technologies, to train the controllers of the future and help ensure the continued safety of our flying public for decades to come.
Candidates selected for these positions will support of the FAA Controller Training Solutions (CTS) program, onsite at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City, OK.
The successful candidate must possess excellent teaching and communication skills, as well as classroom management techniques, a mission-focused drive for continuous improvement, and strong technical skills with current ATC automation, simulation systems and procedures. In addition, this position may provide opportunities for mentoring other instructors, as well as input to curriculum design and development.
Required Skills and Experience:
Candidates for these instructor positions must have a minimum of 3 years of CPC ATCS experience in a FAA civilian ARTCC or other equivalent civilian facility. This experience must have been at a facility equal to or exceeding an FAA ATC-10 facility. In addition, candidates for these positions must have previously held the position of CPC ATCS or first-level supervisory ATCS.
US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Desired Skills and Experience:
OJTI certification and experience
Recent ATC experience with ERAM
High school diploma or equivalent
FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification required.
