SAIC is seeking a Software Developer to join our team in San Diego, CA.

Note this is a Flexwork position however candidate will need to be on location periodically and would need to reside in the San Diego, CA area to support this function.

Job Description:

  • The TACNET Data Intelligence team is seeking a Software Developer who will lead development of our IT management and network analytics software applications and website capabilities.
  • You will collaborate closely between product and software development teams to create new and enhance existing Python website capabilities in support of network health analytics capabilities.
  • Additionally, this position will assist in the migration of current desktop applications (Microsoft stack) to web based capabilities utilizing Python and SQL.
  • Must be willing and interested in learning new toolsets, templates, and workflows as business needs to evolve.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software applications for local C# applications and online web based capabilities.
  • Strong development and support skills with experience in object oriented programming as applicable to web based programming languages.
  • Design, build, maintain, and support project database environments in SQL.
  • Proactively proposes enhancements and to implement new and exciting features while retaining quality.
  • Collaborate across diverse groups to ensure smooth project delivery for large cross team projects
  • Engage with business users and stakeholders to understand both user requirements and larger strategic goals.
  • Perform work independently onsite and remotely as tasking requires.




Required Education/Experience/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a software development or similar role.
  • four (4) years experience in Lieu of degree
  • Expertise in Full Stack Python Development.
  • Experience in Microsoft stack - .NET 4.0/C#, JavaScript, SQL/SQL Server.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, AS2, SMTP, SSL, SSH, HTTPS, OpenSSL, LDAP, SFTP, DNS protocols.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Comfortable with engaging with site customers under minimal supervision.
  • Creative problem solving skills and ability to work within areas that have no set guidance or processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with UI design team to build and implement new designs.

 Required Clearance:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret clearance

Additional Desired:

  • Knowledge in SCRUM methodologies.

Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
