SAIC is seeking a GPS Operations Transition Technical Adviser for the Global Positioning System (GPS) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Team in Colorado Springs, CO. The GPS SE&I Team provides specialized engineering, analysis, operations support, and subject matter expertise to Space Systems Command (SSC) and other GPS customers. The Team also provides systems engineering and analysis services to include system development, enterprise and system architecture, acquisition, testing, operations, and sustainment support for existing and new capabilities. Team members provide an enterprise perspective for identification and review of risks and risk mitigation plans and work to institutionalize systems engineering best practices across the SSC.
Major duties of this position include:

Provides Analytics for Transition execution with key insights in Data Migration and Synchronization Accuracy, and Operational Control Segment-Next (OCX) Transition Performance Criteria and Transition Comparison Tolerances

Analyzes and leads coordination of the eight (8) required Transition Comparison Tool SME Teams to include: Commanding, GPS Information Network (GIN) IN Zero Age of Data (ZAOD) Products, Ephemeris and Clock (Pre/Post Processed), Navigation Uploads, High Accuracy Navigation User (HANU) message files, Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) Schedule Processing, Processed S-Band Telemetry, and Operational Limits and Thresholds

Plans, integrates and makes technical recommendations in the execution of GPS Transition to Operations activities to create a seamless transition from Architectural Evolution Plan (AEP) to OCX

Coordinates with government and external test organizations to integrate and synchronize test and transition activities

Assesses and provides technical recommendations to the GPS Transition Director based upon analysis, test, and observation of OCX system performance and readiness for operations, coordination with developers, government customers, and fellow SE&I team members
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree with 20+ years of relevant experience

Current DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance

Knowledge of GPS Operations, Sustainment, Test, and Transition
-
Development or sustainment engineering knowledge of OCX and/or AEP
-
Knowledge of development lifecycle, project integration, and stakeholder processes
Desired Qualifications

Master or Doctorate in technical field, such as Engineering, Math, or Sciences

Active TS/SCI Clearance
-
Direct experience managing operational transitions and fielding of complex systems

AF acquisition professional education
Target salary range: $175,001 - $185,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
