SAIC is seeking an immediate need for a Project Scheduler to support the US Navy in Crane, IN who will be responsible for creating, updating and coordinating project schedules. The Project Scheduler will participate in a cross-functional team environment in development and oversight of development and related project schedules. As a highly motivated individual with very good organization, technical, and communication skills, you will work with a team of professionals to deliver superior service.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Working knowledge and implementation of Primavera P6 Program Management Software
  • Creation and tracking of all programmatic and project level Integrated Master Schedules in Microsoft Project for WXMT.
  • Coordination of resource allocation, risk mitigation, and accomplishing project deliverables and milestones with WXMT Task Managers.
  • Work closely with the government team and customer to ensure projects are executed within schedule and budget.
  • Program Plan development for both upcoming and proposed work within WXMT.
  • Assist Task Managers with development of project teams and task delegation for resource allocation tracking and planning purposes.
  • Familiarity with the Advanced Off-Board Electronic Warfare (AOEW) program.
  • Provides Business Process Management support and implementation to WXMT customer.
  • Provides support to the WXMT Digital Engineering and Transformation team for development and implementation for overall improved business systems and conduct of business within the Branch.
  • Regularly review critical path, cost loading, schedule content, use of relationships and lag, constraints and milestones.
  • Provide schedule analysis and metrics to key stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Updating the schedule and comparing the actual work performed against the baseline program
  • Identifying and reporting variances, and regularly updating the schedule and reporting on any changes
  • Identifying activities impacting the schedule's critical path and facilitating the identification of opportunities to accelerate completion of the work, or measures to avoid potential delays
  • Assist in the review of the schedule and status of the plans during all phases of the projects
  • Reporting on project statuses, trends, and forecasts
  • Reporting on project contingency, and schedule risks and opportunities.
  • Reporting on Must be able to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth work environment and operate entrepreneurially and collaboratively to accomplish deliverables.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • HS/GED and 7 years’ experience; OR Associates and 5 years’ experience; Or Bachelor's Degree and 3 years’ experience OR Masters and 1 year experience. 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience in project planning/scheduling using scheduling software
  • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and database applications.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • The ideal candidate will possess the following combination of experience, knowledge, and skills:
  • An understanding of critical path methodology to ensure, and communicate, timely delivery of milestone tasks;
  • Strong preference placed on MS Project
  • 3+ years of experience in project scheduling is ideal

REQUIRED CLEARANCE

Interim Secret Clearance required to start. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance (US Citizenship required)
