Job Description


SAIC is seeking An Electrical Engineer to join our team supporting our DoD customers from our Indianapolis, Indiana location.

  • The position will be responsible for system level and board level analog and digital design issue resolution, troubleshooting system maintenance for a torpedo test system.
  •  Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
  • Receives assignments but self-directed work makes up the bulk of tasking.
  • Work is both independent and part of a team.
  • Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of the variety of factors.
  • Works under general direction on routine work. May receive detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Follows established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy, and accuracy.
  • Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions or recommendations may cause delays in program schedules and may result in allocation of additional resources.

LIAISON: Primarily internal company contacts. Infrequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters.



  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and 2 years related experience.
  • Must be able to work and communicate with a team and use common office, EDA, and programming tools.
  • Must have ANALOG/DIGITAL Design Experience
  • Must have test systen design experience and PCB design familiarity. 


  • Analog and digital design, test system background
  • Analog circuit simulation
  • LabView experience a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting and tenacity on root cause analysis
  • Able to make hardware design and software changes with impact and process driven methods to resolve issues.
  • Altium Designer and Concord Pro a strong plus


  • Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Ecosystem
  • Experience with LabView preferred, able to make changes to existing LabView code or learn LabView programming (required)


  • US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
