SAIC has been awarded a task to support the Office of Experimental Sciences (NA-113) Technical, Analytical, Programmatic and Integration Support Services. This organization is a key part of the U.S. Nuclear Weapons Program. It addresses both basic and applied science and engineering associated with weapon design, engineering, margins of uncertainty, development of diagnostics and major experimental facilities. It works closely with the Los Alamos, Livermore, and Sandia National Laboratories and the Nevada Nuclear Security Site (old Nevada Test Site). Also works with the nuclear weapon production sites and DoD relevant weapon system program offices.
Has general knowledge of the Nuclear Weapons science portfolio and expertise in several specific aspects of it. Skilled in program and project management. No advanced technical degree required but experience as a technically oriented generalist able to evaluate and assign complex technical tasks to staff is needed. Direct experience with the U.S. nuclear weapons program is desired. Experience with complex national security and/or DOD weapon programs can be substituted. Experience in the proper use and handling of classified information desired. Prior experience as an Authorized Derivative Classifier for DOE or a comparable role in support of another federal agency desired.
Must have computer experience using standard applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Must have outstanding communication skills both written and verbal and have the ability to communicate with a variety of people at all levels in an organization.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more of related experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience.

- Must have extensive experience working in current standard computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Excellent communications both verbal and written.
Must be able to communicate complex scientific reports and develop these reports from data analysis to others who may be not technical both via presentation and in written reports.
