Description
SAIC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for Modeling and Simulation and engineering design. Our team is driving innovation as we develop solutions for the Department of Defense Joint All Domain Command and Control and other Edge and Enterprise capabilities. The candidate will further develop next generation network model to better characterize the performance of networks using state-of-the-art communication channels used by Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) such as Link 16, WinNT, MUOS and 5G. This network model will fully characterize physical channel, routing protocols and IP based communication data such as those used by our Joint Range Extension (JRE) protocol. The model will also address self-forming/healing network architectures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for design and development of wired and wireless network designs for our customers. The design activity will likely include SW integration, development, testing and troubleshooting of network protocol stack behaviors against specific network RFCs. This position will include modeling of protocol performance and development of network modules (per RFC specification).
