Description
SAIC is seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Controls subject matter expert (SME) and task lead to support the Air Force’s guided weapons research, development, modeling, analyses, and simulation of weapon system algorithms and capabilities. This will include software-in-the-loop (SWIL), hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL), as well as field testing. Our customer is the US Air Force Armament Directorate Office located at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. A successful candidate will be assigned to work as a Manager/Task Lead as well as a GNC SME managing a team of scientist and engineers working with civil service government engineers developing, modeling, and analyzing, within a laboratory testing environment, algorithms, advanced components, and systems.
The team is looking for a highly motivated Guidance, Navigation & Control (GN&C) SME with experience in the modeling and simulation of complex weapon or aerospace systems. Position requires the ability to work with and lead a small team of Guidance, Navigation, and Controls engineers as well as engineers specializing in other areas of missile systems, such as sensors, seekers, propulsion and warheads. This includes the development of models and analyses to assist in the development of a functional simulation of both tactical and strategic guidance systems and weapon systems in general.
