SAIC has an opportunity for a Client Engineering Lead to support the US Army Corps of Engineers Revolutionary IT Services (USACE RITS) program.
The USACE RITS contract will provide modern and secure enterprise-wide IT support services to approximately 37,000 USACE customers located throughout the CONUS and OCONUS. Services will support the mission needs of USACE’s Headquarters (HQs) located in Washington, D.C., nine Divisions and 43 Districts, to include over 1,500 field and area project offices and two data centers that are currently located in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Hillsboro, Oregon.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position will be responsible for leading a team of technical professionals supporting mission-critical End-Point services for approximately 40,000 users in a hybrid cloud environment. The successful candidate will not only be responsible for providing technical leadership to their team, but is responsible for all projects and operational workload (incidents, maintenance, etc.), provides hands-on support for the technologies in their area of operations (AO) but also administrative tasks (timesheets, training, etc.) for their team.
LOCATION: This position is 100% remote in a CONUS location; Normal work hours are Monday through Friday; 8-hour shift that falls between 6AM and 6PM local time. After hours on-call support may be required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This leadership position requires experience in both technical implementations and driving a comprehensive services adoption and maturation roadmap for a DoD client. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design and implementation of Microsoft Modern Workplace solutions including technologies such as: M365, Azure, Intune, SCCM/MECM, MMD/PCaaS/DaaS) with experience working with DISA and DoD organizations.
- Lead solutions around Endpoint Management, M365 products, Endpoint Security and Policy Management
- Develop a comprehensive roadmap leading to unified endpoint and modern management
- Provide subject matter expertise regarding Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune/SCCM), Windows Virtual Desktop, Endpoint Security, and policy-based configuration management (Intune/GPO), and the end-to-end lifecycle of building DoD Windows system images, application packaging, patching, and software distribution
- Socialize ideas, make recommendations, present business cases, prepare prototypes, and document strategies
- Manage a team of geographically diverse, remote staff ensuring effective communication and on-time delivery of service
- Oversee technical professionals supporting Windows Server 2012/2019 and Windows 10 in a multi-domain Active Directory environment via Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, as well as building and maintaining the CorpsNet Gold Master images.
- Oversee the testing of all client hardware models to ensure use in a complex computing environment and support acceptance on the Approved Products List.
- Ensure all technologies are following DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), DoD and Agency policies and standards. Ensure server systems are monitored to have the latest operating system patches, security updates. Validate STIGs settings are within operational standards.
- Manage and participate in root cause analysis of critical outage and incidents and coordinate the design and implementation of solutions. Complete After-Action Reports as needed.
- Ensure adherence to the Change Management process for all changes to production systems, including documenting all changes made to configuration items/systems.
- Develop new documentation that includes, but is not limited to, Work Instructions, SOPs and System Architecture Guides and Diagrams adhering to organizational templates, policies, and standards.
- Ability and willingness to work extended hours or modified schedule for planned or emergency work.
- Support operational transition of enterprise solutions into production. Coordinate response to IAVA vulnerability remediation.
- Ensure the work schedules of SAIC and subcontractor employees are established, documented and coordinated to provide coverage during contractually required operating hours. Review current workloads and ticket distribution. Responsible for SLR performance.
- Responsible for monitoring the technical performance of SAIC and subcontractor staff and reporting exemplary or disciplinary performance to the SAIC Subtask Area Manager.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience (ideally in a .MIL environment).
- Current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification IAT Level II (example: Security+ CE)
- Experience using ServiceNow or a similar ticketing system.
- Prior supervisory experience and experience leading virtual teams.
- Interim Secret Clearance is require to start work on the contract, and must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance
- Excellent at communicating solutions, approaches, and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences with proven experience defining technical solutions at an architectural and design level of detail
- Experience in designing architecture for Enterprise Endpoint / Mobility Management solutions (ex MS SCCM/MECM, MS Intune, Citrix XenMobile, VMware Airwatch)
Desired Qualifications:
- Excellent at communicating solutions, approaches, and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences with proven experience defining technical solutions at an architectural and design level of detail
- Experience in designing architecture for Enterprise Endpoint / Mobility Management solutions (ex MS SCCM, MS Intune, Citrix XenMobile, VMware Airwatch, MS Teams)
- One or more active role relevant Microsoft or other certifications (e.g. Citrix Certified Associate / Professional – Virtualization, Citrix, Endpoint Management, VMware Certified Professional – Digital Workspace 2018.)
- Knowledge of ITSM; ITIL v4; Agile; DevOps
- Practical experience in common Automation and Orchestration technologies in Digital Workplace

Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
