Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Government Affairs Manager to administer the company’s Voluntary Political Action Committee and support corporate political engagement efforts.This job will be performed on site in Arlington, VA.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer the SAIC Voluntary Political Action Committee (VPAC)
  • Create, plan and implement a VPAC solicitation campaign
  • Ensure all VPAC activities are in compliance with applicable election laws
  • Manage disbursement of all VPAC contributions in conjunction with VPAC Treasurer 
  • Establish and track annual budget for VPAC contributions in conjunction with the PAC Board
  • Represent the VPAC as needed before all levels of employees 
  • Deliver VPAC presentations to various eligible employees around the country and VPAC Board Members 
  • Create and produce internal VPAC reports, newsletters and analyses
  • Plan and coordinate fundraising events for the VPAC; maintain tracking system for fundraising events 
  • Plan and prepare for VPAC board meetings and receptions
  • Maintain database of VPAC contributors
  • Update and maintain the VPAC website
  • Track state and local political contributions
  • Promote corporate political involvement activities including Get Out the Vote (GOTV) initiatives
  • Support lobbyists and internal customers with legislative research and legislative tracking, including establishing and maintaining alerts using internal and outside resources
  • Support weekly congressional update newsletter
  • Manage office intern program
  • Follow legislative and current events to identify and stay abreast of issues impacting company
  • Attend and cover legislative hearing and events as required
  • Assist with completion of necessary political compliance reports
  • Manage relationships with outside third party vendors providing resources
  • Assume other responsibilities as requested in support of the office goals and objectives



  • Bachelor's degree in political science or other relevant field required and three (3) years or more experience. Master's degree and one (1) year or more experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience working on Capitol Hill, political campaigns, or other position involving political affairs.
  • Strong understanding of politics and the legislative process required.
  • Knowledge of Federal Election Commission regulations, PAC, fundraising, and grassroots political action strongly preferred.
  • Excellent ability to write and make public presentations
