Come join a diverse and mission critical team supporting the Space Systems Command (SSC) working remote supporting El Segundo, CA and Colorado Springs,CO locations!
 
SAIC is seeking a Jira and Confluence whiz for the GPS SE&I Program.  You will be responsible for developing, managing and maintaining the capabilities of Atlassian systems deployed in SAIC’s SCCS environment. This role focuses on facilitating the appropriate use and development of JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and FishEye/Crucible across the GPS SE&I Program, assisting teams in standing up their environments, and providing direction to resources to aid in the end users use of the applications. 
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Configure JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and FishEye/Crucible for various project teams to include customizable workflows, issue type schemes, screen configurations and screen schemes, custom data fields and field configuration schemes, and user accessibility.
  • Lead/manage all capabilities of the JIRA system (including add-ons, plug-ins, screens, workflows, schemas, troubleshooting, fields, permissions and notifications).
  • Develop & maintain complex Jira workflows, project workflows, field /screen configurations, screen/permission/notification schemes, edit post functions and validators, and provide ongoing support and configuration maintenance for Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian applications.
  • Perform routine maintenance & upkeep of the user interfaces to optimize performance.
  • Prioritize and coordinate multiple requests from various stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot functional issues and support users with general questions/issues related to assigned systems; promptly resolve ServiceNow support tickets; escalate issues to IT support teams and/or vendors as appropriate.
  • Manage multiple responsibilities with tight deadlines.
  • Monitor & maintain software license terms and service maintenance agreements.
  • Work with server system administrators to optimize, align and integrate processes; work with business units to integrate their applications/processes as appropriate.
  • Perform basic server actions through secure shell scripting (SSH).
  • Communicate & work closely with Atlassian Support staff as needed when application anomalies are encountered or reported by end users.
  • Provide end-users with links to training materials & other educational resources to enhance their use of the applications and their add-ons.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of IT experience, including system administrator experience
  •  Active Secret Clearance
  • 3+ years’ development and administration experience in Atlassian products; JIRA software, Confluence software or a combination of both
  • Experience in performing Atlassian installations, upgrades, and migrations
  • Experience in administering and customizing JIRA projects
  • Working knowledge of Kanban and Scrum methodologies
  • Atlassian software integration and experience evaluating & installing plugins
  • Possess demonstrated / effective oral and written communication skills to perform these duties
  • Interface with Atlassian Premier Support to manage overall health and performance of the infrastructure
  • Identify value-add plug-ins and manage the process for testing, acquiring and integrating the new add-ons

Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
